Create an alert
- Open the chart with your purchased indicator installed.
- Open the indicator's menu and choose Add alert, or use TradingView's alert dialog and select that indicator.
- Select the signal condition offered by your installed script.
- Choose the trigger frequency, expiration, and notification channels available to your TradingView plan.
- Give the alert a name that includes the symbol and timeframe, then create it.
Choose a condition
Signal families include trend changes and reversals in Alpha Trend, squeeze/breakout conditions in HTF/LTF, strength readings in Thrust, and divergences in RSI. Use the exact labels currently shown in the condition selector. Older label tables may not match a newer script version.
For a workflow that depends on a completed candle, choose bar-close behavior when the condition supports it. An intrabar alert and a completed-candle confirmation can produce different timing.
Verify delivery
Check that the alert is active in TradingView's alert list. Confirm notification permissions in the TradingView app and on your phone if you want push delivery. Email, app notifications, and watch delivery depend on the selected channels and device configuration.
After changing a chart
TradingView saves a snapshot of a script alert's setup. If you change the indicator inputs or want a different symbol/timeframe, recreate the alert with the desired configuration rather than assuming an existing alert updates with the chart.
See TradingView's official alert documentation and current plan limits for platform behavior. TradingView alerts are separate from AlphaX's activity notifications.
