Momentum lines

The indicator guide identifies a normal RSI line in orange, a fast line in blue, and a slow line in red. Colors can be customized. Read the line names if your saved layout differs.

A bullish momentum cross in the guide places the normal line above the other two; the bearish interpretation uses the opposite relationship. Consider its location and surrounding setup instead of using every cross in isolation.

Regular divergence

Type Price RSI Context
Bullish Lower low Higher low Possible weakening downside momentum
Bearish Higher high Lower high Possible weakening upside momentum

A divergence can develop before price turns, fail, or change while its structure is still forming. It is not an immediate entry instruction.

Hidden divergence

Type Price RSI Context
Hidden bullish Higher low Lower low Possible bullish continuation
Hidden bearish Lower high Higher high Possible bearish continuation

The legacy guide describes hidden divergence as optional and disabled by default. Enable it in the indicator settings if you want to study it, then verify what your installed version displays.

Confirm another setup

Use RSI alongside a named reversal or squeeze setup, and compare the same candles and timeframe. Record whether your evidence was a cross, regular divergence, or hidden divergence; those are different conditions.
